May Gibbs’ Nutcote is the beautiful harbourside home of May Gibbs (1877-1969), Australia’s foremost children’s author and illustrator and best known today for her iconic story, The Complete Adventures of Snugglepot & Cuddlepie.
Located in Sydney’s Neutral Bay and now a house museum surrounded by delightful gardens, this will be our location for the 2022 SCBWI NSW end of year get together.
Ticket cost includes entry, a tour of the house and a sumptuous high tea, plus the chance to spend the afternoon with SCBWI friends, catching up, sketching, scribbling and nibbling.

Normally $55 but as a special SCBWI treat we will subsidise the ticket price so they are $40.

11:30am— Arrive and mingle
12.00pm-1.00pm—Afternoon tea for everyone
1.00pm-1:30pm— First group to tour the house while the other half sketch and scribble on the lawn
1:30pm-2.00pm—Second group tour the house while the other half sketch and scribble on the lawn
2.00pm-2:30—Final creative prompt for the entire group
